“The Mandalorian”: Baby Yoda in the first pictures of the 2nd season

It shouldn’t take long until the trailer, but now Entertainment Weekly has the first pictures from the second season of the “Star Wars” real series “The Mandalorian” on Disney – and some information about the content.

The second season “The Mandalorian” begins where Season 1 ended: Bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) alias the Mandalorian has taken baby Yoda, the little rascal, into his permanent care as a foundling, while Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) with him armed with a dark sword after them.

The new eight-episode season starts on October 31st on Disney. Entertainment Weekly delivers the first pictures from the season. The cover for the new issue and a scene image are available on Twitter, for the rest you have to go to the EW article.

The second season will be more like “Game Of Thrones”

Series are often compared to “Game Of Thrones” because they can win the attention of many readers. “Mandalorian” showrunner Jon Favreau tries to compare, but says what he means exactly:

The second season of the “Star Wars” series will be similar to “Game Of Thrones”, as this time there will be several separate storylines that come together at some point when the characters meet. Season 1, however, was still very focused on the Mandalorian.

Strong crew

Favreau himself will direct the season opener (he did not direct the first season), and welcomed back Rick Famuyiwa as director (who directed the episode with the Jawas and the episode on the prison spaceship in season 1). New to the directing team are Carl Weathers, who is also there again as guild chief Greef Karga, and Robert Rodriguez, whose considerable range from filthy gangster films (“El Mariachi”) to children’s acion films (“Spy Kids”) to expensive sci -Fi adventures (“Alita: Battle Angel”) is enough.

Star Wars fans can look forward to the live-action debut of popular The Clone Wars paddawan Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson, and Boba Fett (perhaps played by Temuera Morrison, Jango Fett from Attack the clone warrior “).

From the rumor mill it was also heard that Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”) will play the animation Mandalorian she spoke to, Bo-Katan Kryze. Other newcomers are Michael Biehn (“The Terminator”) and Timothy Olyphant (“Justified”) Movie4k.
